Cancelling Orders

There are 3 ways to cancel an order in City Execution:

  1. From the ticket window, in the Order Status box, you can cancel the most recently placed order.
  2. From the Orders Page, you can cancel any open order from the orders table.
  3. You can click the Cancel All Open Orders to cancel all open orders across all the trading accounts tied to your user account.

Cancelling via the Ticket Window

After you place an order in City Execution, the Order Status box will appear in the ticket window.

As long as the order is still Open, you can click the Cancel button at the bottom of the Order Status window and the order (or what remains of it, if it has been partially filled) will be cancelled.

Note that once an order has been Cancelled, or if the order is any status other than Open (Filled, Rejected, or Expired), the Cancel button will be grayed out and unclickable.

Cancelling via the Orders Page

In the Orders Page view, if you select either All Statuses or Open statuses, then there will be a Cancel button (an orange X) on the far right-side of each row in the table.

Clicking on the Cancel button for an order in the Orders Page table will cancel that order. A notification will appear in the lower right-corner of the application, and the order's status will be updated in the Orders Page table (if you are viewing Open orders only, the order will thus be removed from the Open orders table and moved to Cancelled).

Alternatively, you can click the Modify button for the order (the pencil icon).

And then from the resulting pop-up screen, you can click the Cancel Order button.

A notification will appear in the application, and the order's status will be updated in the Orders Page table (if you are viewing Open orders only, the order will thus be removed from the Open orders table and moved to Cancelled).

Cancelling All Open Orders

At any point when using the City Execution application, you can click the Cancel All Open Orders button located on the right-hand side of the top navigation bar.

Warning
Pressing this button will cancel all open orders across all trading accounts tied to your City Execution user account.

If you press the Cancel All Open Orders button and there are not actually any open orders in your trading accounts, a notification will appear.

Otherwise, a pop-up will appear asking you to confirm that you want to cancel all the open orders.

If you proceed with the cancellation, a notification will appear in the application, and all the open orders (across all the trading accounts tied to your Eikon user account) will get cancelled.
